Merlin Prolift 230T Garage Door Opener

The Merlin Prolift 230T is a high quality, durable, reliable garage door opener which is built to last, unlike some of the cheaper versions available on the market.

With one touch of a button your garage door opens, a welcoming light comes on and you drive in - warm, safe and dry. One more touch and the door closes and is positively locked behind you. You leave the garage and the light turns off automatically about 4 minutes later. All this from the comfort and safety of your car. What could be easier?

The Prolift 230T is suitable for tilt-up and sectional doors. The 80kg maximum lifting force makes the opener suitable for both single and double doors made of wood, steel or fibreglass. The Prolift 230T will open doors of up to 3.0 meters (9ft 10in) high and 6.0 meters (19ft 8in) wide.

There are 3 types of garage doors:-

Type 1>A Canopy door, where the tracks the door runs on, are up the side of the door frame and when the door is fully open, approx. 1/3 of the garage door protrudes out of the front of the garage.

Type 2>A Retractable or sectional door, where the tracks run back into the garage and when the door is open it is totally within the garage.

Type 3>A Counterweighted door, where there are large counterweights which hang down on each side of the door.

If you have Type 1> you need a 'Bow arm converter'.
If you have Type 2> you only need the standard opener.
If you have Type 3> this garage door opener is NOT suitable for your door.
