Overview

• An additional wireless motion detector for use with the SC9000 security system (or TotalGuard / SafeGuard systems)
• This detector uses secure X10 signals and is battery powered.
• Needs a security base unit, we recommend the SC9000. Due to the user of secure X10 this product will not work with a TM13 transceiver module.

Questions

Question: Does the tamper function of the MS90 also work on my SC2200/SC2700/SC2800 alarm system?
Answer: No, the tamper function is a specific function on the SC9000 alarm system (SafeGuard and TotalGuard).

Question: Is the MS90 pet friendly?
Answer: No. The MS90 is not specifically pet friendly. These motion detectors do exist (not wireless). Your security system has an extra input for wired sensors. You can also connect the sensor to the extra contact of the DS90 sensor.

Question: My MS90 keeps giving false alarms.
Answer: The MS90 is a PIR (passive infrared) motion detector. This means that movement is detected by measuring changes in temperature. If the detector is placed above a radiator or in direct sunlight, this can cause a false alarm. Small pets can also trigger the alarm. If you change the setting of the MS90 to 2, the chance of a false alarm is smaller.

Question: What do I use the 1/2 switch on the back of the sensor for?
Answer: This switch can be used to set the sensitivity of the sensor. This switch is used in situations when there is a chance of a false alarm due to heat sources such as radiators, small pets, etc. Setting 1 is the maximum sensitivity, setting 2 is a reduced sensitivity.
