Product Description

The RFXtrx433E from RFXCom is a 433Mhz transmitter and recevier (transceiver) which allows your computer (or supported home automation gateway) to control or respond to 433Mhz equipment, which is typically low cost and easily available.

A common use for the RFXtrx433E is to enable your Z-Wave system to talk to Somfy RTS blinds, without having to purchase an expensive Somfy Z-Wave module/controller. The RFXtrx433E is natively supported by Vera controllers, Homeseer 3, eedomus, Indigo and OpenHAB.

Use RFXtrx433E to listen to wireless weather station sensors such as those from Oregon Scientific, or use it to control Smartwares receivers - the possibilities are endless!

  1. Excellent for linking Lightwaverf to a raspberry pi 5 Star Review

Posted by on 28th Nov 2016

I bought this to enable a Raspberry pi to act as a central point for linking lightwaverf home automation, the internet and my own control options. It is easy to write your programs in python to interface with and control this device. I have needed to buy an alternative antenna ( cheaply available from a number of sources ) to increase the range.

  2. Worked out of the box! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 6th Nov 2016

I'm using Domoticz running on Linux.
I had been using some home-made 'MySensors' sensors and actuators but was having range & reliability problems, so I decided to switch to 433MHz. The RFXtrx433e seemed to be compatible with Domoticz so I decided to give it a try.
I wasn't disappointed; within a couple of minutes I had plugged in the unit, added it to my Domoticz configuration and was receiving data from my new sensors.
Super-fast delivery from UK Automation too ... Excellent :-)
