A contract between you and UK Automation will only take place once the order has been accepted, processed and items despatched.

Pricing
All products offered for sale by UK Automation are priced in pounds Sterling and are inclusive of taxes at the prevailing rate where applicable. Any customs or import duties due when your package reaches its destination country will be your responsibility. Occasionally, despite our best endeavours products appear mispriced, however we verify prices as part of our order confirmation email. If the correct price is lower than that promoted we will always charge you the lower amount and send you the product. If the correct price is higher, we will either contact you to advise you and request instructions before despatch or cancel the order and notify you accordingly.

Availability
We try to hold stocks of all styles for active products, however occasionally an item will be out of stock, if this is the case we will inform you. All delivery dates are estimates and are subject to availability.

Delivery
Delivery charges start at £3.00 and are dependant on weight and the delivery method you choose for delivery within mainland UK. Delivery will be by post or courier at our discretion. We will deliver outside of the UK and the cost will be calculated when you checkout.

For orders outside of mainland UK which cannot economically be delivered under either of our delivery choices, you will be notified of any additional charges and given the option to cancel before we proceed with the order.

You can choose to have your goods delivered to an alternative address to your home, if you wish. Please be aware that we will require a signature on delivery, so it may be more convenient to have the delivery made to your place of work or a friend, if no one is available at home to sign. If the goods are delivered to an alternative address and signed for by someone other than the purchaser, then the order is deemed to have been delivered and no claims for non-delivery will be accepted.

Our couriers will attempt to deliver to the address you give us and will leave a card if they are unable to deliver. If after 5 days of the first attempted delivery, you do not arrange a convenient delivery time or collect your order, the goods will be returned to us at your cost and we will refund you the value of your order less all the delivery charges we incur. Should you want us to redeliver or have your order redirected to another address there will be an additional charge which we will inform you of at that time.

If on receiving your order you find that items are damaged or missing, then you must inform us in writing within 7 days of this fact. You should retain all packaging and evidence to back up your claim and be prepared to cooperate with our delivery agents to try and resolve the matter.

No claims for non-delivery or damage will be entertained more than 7 days after the date the delivery was made.

Payment
We accept online payments through a secure environment by credit or debit card and transactions are shown in pounds Sterling. Do not email your card details. No responsibility can be taken for security if you provide your details in this way. Card fraud is illegal and will always lead to prosecution.

You can now recycle your old electricals with us.

If you’re buying a new electrical item, we will recycle your old one for free

Why recycle?
Unwanted electrical equipment is the UKs fastest growing type of waste.

Many electrical items can be repaired or recycled, saving natural resources and the environment. If you do not recycle, electrical equipment will end up in landfill where hazardous substances will leak out and cause soil and water contamination – harming wildlife and also human health.

We can help
We are pleased to offer our customers the chance to recycle their old electrical items.

You can bring your like for like items back to us at UK Automation Retail Ltd, Unit 14 Falcon Business Park, Ivanhoe Road, Finchampstead, Berkshire, RG40 4QQ for recycling.

If you're not local, please contact us via our contact form and we'll send you a return envelope so you can send the items back for recycling.

To remind you that old electrical equipment can be recycled, it is now marked with a crossed-out wheeled bin symbol. Please do not throw any electrical equipment (including those marked with the crossed out wheeled bin symbol) in your bin.

What is WEEE?
wee.jpgThe Waste Electrical or Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive requires countries to maximise separate collection and environmentally friendly processing of these items. In the UK, distributors (including retailers) must provide a system which allows all customers buying new electrical equipment the opportunity to recycle their old items free of charge. Those establishing their own take-back scheme must as a minimum offer all customers buying new electrical equipment free take back of their old electricals on a like-for-like basis.

Find more information on WEEE recycling, and locate your local recycling centre, at www.recyclenow.com.
