I purchased a Merlin Prolift 230T garage door opener & Bow arm converter on December 2009.
I was a bit dubious about the bow arm converter as reviews from other door opener manufacturers said to avoid using them. But i was pleasantly surprised how well it works along with the Merlin Prolift 230T.
I found the intstructions a little confusing for a novice, but did manage after reading several times.
I had to link the power from an existing socket in the garage & used conduit piping to keep cables tidy, which would be difficult for alot of novices.
I have\'nt had much chance to use my new Merlin as the winter weather is quite bad in Scotland and have left my car in the garage at the moment. But it seems to be working fine and of course there is the guarantee to back it up if things do go wrong in the future.
My wife is now complaining that she does\'nt have a remote, so I will have to purchase another one!!!?
I look forward to using my Merlin garage door opener, when all the bad weather comes.
