The X10 signal tester allows you to assess the quality of X10 signal over a section of your properties wiring. The way it works, is that you plug the transmitting unit into a socket in one area and the receiving unit into a socket in a different area. The transmitter sends out a X10 signal with a known strength, the receiving unit picks up the signal and indicates the strength of the signal. This allows you to determine if there is anything which is affecting the X10 signal. You can then unplug suspected problem appliances and track down where the interference is occurring. When you locate a problem appliance it can be isolated by plugging it in through a Marmitek X10 Plug in Filter FM10U.
The tester can be purchased outright however most users just require it to work out where they have a problem. With this in mind we offer the X10 Signal tester for rent at £9 per week or part week. Just purchase the item as usual, when you've finished with it, request to return it and when we get it back we will refund you the cost, less the rental amount and delivery charge.
