The Smartwares on/off receiver communicates by a secured wireless signal. This secured wireless signal passes through doors, windows, walls and ceilings. It can be used to switch appliances or lights on or off remotely.

Stopped Switch OFF after 18month

Easy to install. No other product like it. However after 18 Month as a switch on CH Boiler it stopped responding to OFF switching which was dangerous as it left the boiler running continuously until it was reset by removing power. Unable to determine whether transmitter or receiver at fault so had to replace both to make life easy. If they fail it is back to wires.
