X10 Wireless Signal Booster / Repeater - SR9231

The SR9231 Smart RF Repeater is designed to increase the range of X10 RF 433 MHz security and home automation products by boosting and repeating RF commands from remotes and sensors.

The Smart RF Repeater should ideally be located at a central location between the furthest remote or sensor and the transceiver module or security console with which it communicates. A self charging NiCad circuit board battery keeps the repeater operational during power failures.

Note: When repeating RF commands, in particular Home Automation commands, some delay in responding may be evident.

Installing the Repeater

• Find a suitable location, preferably at least 1m above the ground and centrally located between the furthest sensor/remote (i.e. DS10E Door/Window Sensor or MS13E Indoor Motion Detector) and the transceiver or security console (i.e. TM13 Transceiver Module or the SC2800 Maxi Controller).
• Set the code wheel on the Smart RF Repeater to any letter between A and P. If you are using more than one repeater, set each one to a different sequential letter. Repeater B will only repeat codes from Repeater A or C, Repeater C will repeat code from B or D, and Repeater D will repeat form C or E, and so on. So experiment with placement.
• Plug the Smart RF Repeater into an AC outlet. Extend the antenna.
