Z-Wave Presence Detector

Product Description

The presence detector can detect the presence of a person in the room using PIR (passive infared receiver). The unit will send information to a controller or any other associated Z-Wave device and can contoll up to 4 devices from this unit.

The sensor is powered by battery and will stay in a sleeping state until movement is detected. The device can be programmed to stay in sleep mode for a required amount of time, it will then wake and send a status update. The unit will the return to sleeping mode. You can change the batteries without removing the unit from the door or frame. The device will warn you visually when the batteries need to be replaced, which will then send a warning to the controller. An alarm will sound if the device is tampered with.

A remote control pr any other Z-Wave controller is needed to include the device into a Z-Wave network. For configuration of certain behaviour a static controller such as a PC with home automation software or a gateway is required.
