X10 DIN Rail Filter

The SFX40 is a Suppression filter that prevents X10 commands from leaving the house or other signals from entering the house via the power circuit. 

In addition, the SFX40 can be used if heavy machinery causes noise on your mains. These machines electrical properties may have a dampening effect on the X10 signals. If the operation of X10 is affected, the suppression filter can be installed between the power network and the machine to prevent dampening of the signal.

The DIN rail blocking filter is modular and is installed in the distribution box.

Features

• Central filter frequency 120 kHz 
• The suppression filter is short-circuit proof up to 10 kA and must be protected by a maximum 40A automatic fuse with D characteristic or a 35 A fuse link.

Installation

Suppression filters can be installed immediately behind the main switch of the installation. To connect a suppression filter, phase (L) and neutral (N) need to be available, see diagram 1.

If the building houses heavy machinery, for example, their electrical properties may have a dampening effect on theMarmitek X-10 signals. If the operation of Marmitek X-10 is affected, the suppression filter can be installed between the lighting network and the machine to prevent dampening of the signal, see diagram 2.
