Description of the Z-Wave Smoke Detector by Fibaro

The Fibaro Smoke detector is a high quality, wireless, Z-Wave based smoke sensor. Designing it, Fibar Group engineers considered the fact that certain materials burn without emitting large amounts of smoke. That's why the Z-Wave Smoke Detector by Fibaro has a built in temperature sensor. This means that the sensor reacts to even a small amounts of smoke when a fire starts, by detecting a rapid temperature rise. The Fibaro Smoke Sensor immediately informs of a detected threat through a built-in siren and LED signaling diode illumination. All detected events are recorded in the main controller's memory with alarm signals and information being sent to a suitable Z-Wave controller like the Fibaro HC2.

Just installed onto Samsung smart things system. Seems to work perfectly.
it's new and not put through its paces yet. Although I did hold some burning paper under it and it worked perfectly. Can't believe how small it it
Nice small z-wave smoke detector

It was easy to set up to network and is small and nice looking. I have cabling for smoke alarm voltage supply in my building so support for external power would have been good. So hope the batteries will have good life. I use them also for temp measurement every 10 min.

I think these smoke detector are great. I get notified by text if they go off when I'm out and about.
